Yesterday was the first time I really jumped rope for cardio. I mainly bicycle 7-12 miles a day, or job 3-5 miles. I jumped rope for about 30 minutes in 5 minute intervals. My calves aren't sore at all. What is sore are my abs, shoulder blades, deltoids... Mainly around my shoulder / upper back area. Is this just soreness? Or something more serious? I jumped rope with some weighted jump ropes so is that why I'm getting pain in that area? It doesn't hurt just sitting here, it hurts when I stretch my arms back or up.. Thanks for any info.
