Could this be the reason For BCCI's approval of UDRS ?

At first board and most of the senior players of the side were against UDRS and the board had the backing of senior players like Sachin and Indian captain Dhoni also wasn't in favour of the system .but when whole world startes criticizing BCCI and slamming its players .All of a sudden comes out with a remark that he doesn't have any problem with system soon after sachin dhoni joined him and then all of a sudden BCCI accepted ,with some modification .is this because BCCI lost backing of their players
