Why is my ex doing all this when he cheated on me?

He sounds very immature; doesn't know what he wants. Sounds like you are mature and have moved on, and you deserve a good partner. Maybe he realizes that you don't care about him, and that makes him want you more, who knows? Some guys like the chase. I would just stay cordial for your child's sake, and find a good person who appreciates you.
