I've hurt what I think is my deltoid muscle by going overboard on the bench press?

however now i can bench finally, but when i go to use a chest fly/press like a href="http://www.exercise-x.com/uploads/exercises/Machine__22_.jpg" rel="nofollow"http://www.exercise-x.com/uploads/exerci…/a i get a pain in my left deltoid, i was just wondering if i should stop benching for a while? and how long would it take to recover if i kept working out (4 times a week)? it's been about 2 weeks since it started hurting... thanks.
